Hey there, y'all! Welcome back to Siege Synchronicities, your go-to spot for all the stories, vibes, and downright legendary moments that make Rainbow Six Siege part of our everyday grind. Today, we're diving into Operation Prep Phase—the season that a lot of folks have already started to overlook...
With Siege X lurking around the corner with the reveal later today and excitement buzzing throughout the entire community (and let’s not forget the game hitting a sweet 10-year mark), now’s the perfect time to get into the nitty-gritty of what this phase really means.
Some think it’s just dead air before the action starts, but I see it as a golden chance to reset, clear the mental clutter, and gear up for what’s next—kind of like how the devs are prepping for Siege X. And let me tell you, I get it on a personal level; I’m also marking a decade in my own hustle.
Closing Loops: Attackers and Defenders Take Action
In Siege, the Prep Phase is where the heavy lifting actually happens—both sides locking in to wrap up those loops so you’re not caught off guard when the shots start flying.
Let’s be real, most players are just scrolling through TikTok...
And they'll probably die within the first 30 seconds of the action phase, get right back to scrolling, and tell you how you're doing it wrong, as they sit there behind the comfort of the spectator cam and implied superiority... because, you know, they were just dead enough to be watching you.
For attackers, it’s all about channeling your inner detective and gathering intel before you roll into the fray. You need to ask the big questions:
Where’s the bomb site or objective?
Which operators are we up against?
What does the site look like—any sneaky roamers or traps lurking around?
Getting answers to those questions is crucial for success this round. Knowing the lay of the land helps you pick your approach, change operators, and shift strategies.
For defenders, the name of the game is holding the fort and keeping the enemy guessing. You’ll be busy:
Reinforcing walls and hatches to keep it tight.
Dropping traps and ambushes to catch attackers off-guard.
Creating rotations for smooth movement that keeps you in cover.
And taking out every drone you see with extreme prejudice to blind ‘em from your best laid plans.
Every drone you take out seals a loop—less intel for them, more advantage for you. This is all about running the information war.
Why This Hits Home—and Where You Stand
The Prep Phase isn’t just an in-game thing; it’s a reflection of where we are right now. With Siege hitting that big 10-year mark and the hype for Siege X building, we’re in a prime moment. Ubisoft has delivered some wild operators over the years, totally flipping the FPS game on its head while keeping that gritty Siege vibe we all know and love. And me? I’m right there with you, celebrating 10 years of hustling and making streams of income.
Like Siege itself, I’ve tried out new strategies, learned from my wins and losses, and stuck to my core values. But now, it's time for a reboot that'll totally change the game.
With the opportunity of Siege X on the horizon for all content creators, I’m thinking about my next steps. I want to retain the essence of my business—the hustle that got me here—but it’s high time to let go of the outdated stuff. Old tech, dusty methods, and those limiting beliefs? They’re getting the boot, just like that junk software that’s been dragging on for too long. I’m eyeing the next decade, ready to level up while staying true to myself.
It's time to do it differently, and create content that's unique.
Why A Reset Feels Right at This Point
The Prep Phase is crucial because it’s all about setting yourself up for victory. For me at 37, it’s like taking a moment to reflect on my last decade—what worked, what didn’t, and how I can gear up for what’s next.
I’m all in on my own reset too, keeping the wins and ditching the baggage for what’s ahead.
Yes, losing a 100 pounds in 11 months and keeping it off for the past 12 years while continuing to close in on my most ideal, energetic body every single day while helping anyone else who will listen was (and is still) huge. I'll continue to help, but only for the select few elite that have proven themselves in the siege of life.
There's no more time for tire kickers, complainers, and blame shifters. There's only time for people who want results. This will be reserved for people who aren't afraid to "start over", people prioritize the relationship with themselves, and people who aren't afraid to lose a little bit now to win big later.
My Vibe This Season
This season of Siege Synchronicity, I’m riding the Prep Phase wave—in-game and in life. Whether you’re an attacker scouting the map, a defender laying down traps, or just a player like me looking back on 10 years of hustle, now’s the time to reset, strategize, and get hyped for what’s coming.
Here's to scouting opportunities in life and engaging with others with mad skills for a clean execute onto what you want without worrying too much about the details once the bullets and breaches start firing off.
Here's to breaking through and creating new, more favorable angles for you, your content, and your business. Here's to creating boundaries, barriers, and "traps" that capture the interest of the people you can help the most, whether it be through entertainment, your art, or your infectious presence.
Here’s to 10 years of Siege and a decade of my grind—and to keeping it real for the next 10, my friends!
